The Defender is a removed sniper-class weapon. It is one of the less powerful sniper rifles in the game, due to it being semi-automatic with a fairly decent rate of fire. This is a good sniper rifle for those in the lower levels, but as one goes up the ranks, it gets ineffective.

Trivia

Its real life counterpart bears a silencer. The Defender has the silencer in game, but it does not silence the weapon; a silencer needs to be bought to supress it.
